Hey Maj, have you seen Sleepless in Ponyville yet?Maj wrote:I gotta say, I'm a bit disappointed that Luna never gets anything to do. She was so powerful that she took over everything, and now she's little more than a background character.

Luna seems to be a benevolent Freddy Krueger. Also, I'm dead now because that ending made my heart explode...

Supposedly, there's a rumor going around that one of FiM's writers is bitching about Hasbro's decisions about the show. I don't know if it's true, but I'm spoilering it in case:
First off, it's been cleared for season 4.
Second, Hasbro saw the Derpy drama and decided the best thing to do is phase her out entirely. Honestly, I can't blame them, I remember the Derpy drama and it was one of those things where both sides were being stupid.
Third the writer had said that Hasbro had foisted an ascendancy arc where Twi becomes an Alicorn. I don't know what I think about it. On one hand, I do like it when characters on shows grow and change as the season progresses. On the other hand, I think that businessmen should be kept away from any creative artistic decisions upon pain of death, as those "people" aren't proper humans with feelings.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.
Kind of weird, honestly.Ted the Flayer wrote:Supposedly, there's a rumor going around that one of FiM's writers is bitching about Hasbro's decisions about the show. I don't know if it's true, but I'm spoilering it in case:

Point 1 is an unreserved 'hurrah',
don't really care about point 2, since the Derpy/Ditzy thing was stupid, and all it turned into was effectively a 'Where's Waldo, Equestria edition.
Point 3.... foisted seems the wrong word. Fans (or at least Bronies) were speculating about that from day 1. Or at least episode 2. And there has been a shitload of stuff going on that furthered such speculation here and there prior to the current season. Particularly the cutie-mark origins episode, where
Twilight effectively hit 'god-mode' as at the same age as the Cutie Mark Crusaders, which is hell of a scary thought. Personally I was glad to see what looks like the beginning of the Ascension Arc in season 3, even though it was a little early. Since the season is only half length, I wasn't sure if the show was going to continue, so I'd rather see it early than not at all. But it seems inevitable, not foisted.
And this way they can fucking explain Cadence.

One thing y'all have to realize, the show was designed to sell toys. Every thing on the Hub, and everything produced by Hasbro, is designed to sell toys. That will always come first, for better or for worse.
It's caused a lot of poor story-writing and plot inconsistencies in Transformers and GI Joe as well, so I can identify with what your going through.

Is this wretched demi-bee

No! It's Eric, the half a bee

It would seem so. I guess anonymous images from flickr posted on the cheezburger network isn't a good primary information source.

Regarding the spoilers: YUS!
Also, I totally want to play a character like that now. ...it occurs to me that I'm playing two different wizard characters at the moment...

Finally saw this. The only redeeming feature is the yearly 'Applejack grabs the idiot ball and goes insane' episode is out of the way.Stahlseele wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DF1aaxIUa3w

However, I was expecting a Dukes of Hazard reference, not Jaws. Though a hay wagon going out of control seemed rather obligatory.
